With a wedding comes a lot of stationery. It seems just about every event has a corresponding invite and etiquette rule. So it’s no wonder that between choosing, ordering and sending all of your wedding stationery, you’re about ready to throw in the towel and elope. And to make matters worse, most timelines and checklists have way too many to do’s. If your anything like me then our timeline will come in handy and help you organize the important tasks.
Here is the quick breakdown
As soon as possible or 12 months out
Take engagement photos and send out your engagement announcements
9-12 months out
Send out Save the Dates, and get wedding invitation samples
4-6 months out
Order wedding invitations and thank you cards
3-4 months out
Send out wedding invitations
2 months out
Order rehearsal dinner invitations
6-8 weeks out
Order day of stationery, menus, programs, table numbers etc.
3 weeks out
Collect RSVP’s and order place cards/escort cards
2 weeks out
Finalize seating chart and favor stationery
1-2 months after
Mail out thank you cards
Holidays
Send out your first holiday card as Mr. and Mrs.
