There are a lot of themes that I like but one of my favorite themes have to be the Art Deco themes and this year I was asked to create a posh roaring 20's theme invitation with a modern twist. Now it's no secret that I love crystals and feathers, I just can't seem to get enough of them, so this project was welcomed with open arms.
Our couple wanted something different then the basic gold foil for their wedding, but they did want to keep the black. We created the invitation using white ink and for a bit of sparkle we added an iridescent foil layer, unfortunately though, you can't see it in photos đ
The invitation was printed on black cardstock in white ink along with Roarin' 20's fonts and art deco frames to create this Modern 20's invitation.
The invitation was housed inside a vellum wrap that was closed off by a black wax seal. đ
The box is wrapped in satin ribbon, on the front of the box, we created a gorgeous feather brooch with a crystal and pearl center, all nestled perfectly on birdcage netting and tulle. I am absolutely in love with all the feathers on this. đĽ°
Creating this invite was one of the enjoyable ones. Getting to create an invitation using one of my favorite time periods made it easy to make this one come together. The couple's reaction to seeing their invitation was all gratitude I needed.
